This shoot makes me so happy.
I still remember the day I got the message from Dez. It had a picture with a pregnancy test on. The pregnancy test had two pink lines, the one was super light. “Does this mean I’m pregnant!?!?!” One frantic phone call and lots of screaming excitement later, we Derryn started her adventure into motherhood.
The days trickled into months and before I knew it, the time had arrivedĀ for Dez to welcome her precious Ellie into the world. If you have seen CC Rosslers images of Derryn a few minutes post birth, you will know that they are quite possibly, the most wonderful images in all the world. I don’t think I have ever seen more excited and loving parents!
And then it was my turn to meet this precious bundle. I bagged up my camera and lugged myself up North to see my work wife and meet her most precious daughter. Emotions were high, little tears of joy were shed and I got to spend a quiet morning in their post birth glow, documenting this perfect little family.
So here is Ellie Josephine. At just over a week old, precious, new and absolutely perfect in every way.
Des and Mark, you kids did GOOD! I wish you both every happiness on this amazing adventure! I have no doubt that you both will be sensational parents. I look forward to documenting many more in the years to come š
