I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.

This is my wonderful friend Kim, her husband Jared and their sweet baby boy Jack.
They welcomed him earth-side at the end of November last year and I got to spend an entire morning with them, just soaking in his newborn goodness and watch my special friend, evolving into a mother.
Watching them together as a family made me quite emotional (okay it doesn’t take much).
But there was something incredible about the way they loved, their body language as they embraced, the way they looked at each other, but even more so, the way they looked at their son.
Becoming a parent is something that will test you beyond your capabilities, drown you at times, uplift you at others…but all in all, it is a love that is greater than anything you have ever known. As someone once put it, “it’s like having your heart walking around, outside of your body”
Watching you two fall in love with your boy over and over again, was honestly the biggest gift.
Thank you for sharing with me, and thank you for letting me document these precious early days.
I know you are going to continue falling in love with Jack, for many years to come.
